IUGG 2011 Conference Grants |
IUGG and the Union Associations, along with the generosity of the State Government of Victoria and the Melbourne Convention and Visitors Bureau, will be offering limited funding to assist postgraduate students, early career scientists, and scientists from developing countries to attend IUGG 2011. Eligibility Applications are open to postgraduate students, early career scientists and scientists from developing countries. http://www.iugg2011.com/program-abstracts.asp Key DatesIUGG 2011 Conference Grant applications close Monday 17 January 2011. Please note your abstract must be submitted by this date also. Successful applicants will be notified via email on Monday 28 March 2011. If successful you will be required to complete a registration form for IUGG 2011 (to be supplied at the time of notification) and submit it by Monday 11 April 2011. IUGG 2011 Local Funding |
The Local Organising Committee of IUGG 2011, along with the generosity of the State Government of Victoria and the Melbourne Convention and Visitors Bureau, is offering a number of Complimentary Registrations for Australian and New Zealand postgraduate students who agree to be a Student Volunteer for the duration of the General Assembly. As a Student Volunteer you will contribute on a voluntary basis to various organisational tasks during the General Assembly (e.g as an audio-visual backup person in a meeting room, by providing assistance to delegates on arrival in Melbourne and during the meeting). One of the aims of the program is to ensure that Volunteers are able to attend scientific sessions in their discipline. EligibilityApplications are open to Australian and New Zealand postgraduate students and will be awarded based on the following criteria:
Successful applicants will be notified via email by Monday 28 March 2011. These students will be required to complete a registration form for IUGG 2011 (to be supplied at the time of notification) and submit it by Monday 11 April 2011. Failure to do so may result in the student no longer being eligible for complimentary registration. Please note – IUGG 2011 will only cover registration costs. Travel, accommodation and personal expenses will be at a cost to the student. IUGG 2011 Conference Grants Now Closed. |
