Summary of Abstract Submission Instructions
Please read through the submission instructions listed below before preparing your abstract:
Attention Authors: A new abstract template is now available for use for any new submissions. If you have already submitted an abstract on the old template, you do NOT need to resubmit.
Step 1: Read the General Policies and Requirements for the submission of abstracts.
Step 2: Write your abstract following the Abstract Format
Step 3: Download the Abstract Submission Template and insert/add your abstract text. Save as a .doc document to your computer. Please note: Abstracts must not exceed 250 word limit.
Step 4:Click on the button below to complete the Abstract Submission Form. It will be necessary to attach/upload the .doc copy of your abstract. You will be required to pay a A$30 author deposit by credit card, cheque or electronic funds transfer (EFT).
Authors are permitted to submit a limit of 2 presenting author abstracts for oral presentations, but may also submit abstracts for poster papers or be non-presenting co-authors on other oral presentations. However, all presenting authors are expected to register and pay the registration fee to have their paper(s) included in the scientific program.
This deposit will be deducted from your registration fees when you register for the General Assembly. If you do not register for the General Assembly, the fee will not be refunded.
The nine Invited Plenary Speakers are permitted to submit two abstracts for oral presentation in addition to their Plenary presentation abstract.
NOTE: Please print a copy of the abstract submission form for your records prior to clicking ‘upload’.
ABSTRACT(S) MUST BE SUBMITTED BY THE AUTHOR WHO WILL PRESENT THE PAPER.
Notification of Acceptance
All abstracts will be reviewed. Reviewers will have access to the author's details and institution(s) of origin. Notifications of acceptance will be sent via e-mail to the submitting author on Monday 28 March 2011. Accepted abstracts will be available on the General Assembly proceedings. The General Assembly Managers will not be held responsible for abstract submissions not received via the website or for submission errors caused by Internet service outages, hardware or software delays, power outages or unforeseen events.
